Wicker Park Trio

This summer on SIX Sundays the Wicker Park Advisory Council, Wicker Park Garden Club and the Chicago Park District will produce the Wicker Park Trio 2008. Wicker Park Bucktown SSA#33 has committed to sponsor the series. The event showcases our neighborhood by:

  1. presenting six music performances featuring some of Chicago’s finest professional classical and jazz musicians
  2. offering tours of our award winning park gardens and historic park
  3. encouraging our guests to dine, shop, and tour our historic neighborhood

One special feature of the series is the MUSIC GARDEN – the Backdrop to the performance site created by the PARK KIDS GROW program. The abstracted 'garden score' moves in and out of the garden that is behind the performers. This year we will present three jazz performances by Arts at Large – a group that produces a series in Lincoln Park and three string quartet performances by Symphony Sounds – the excellent players who performed three concerts in our park in 2006.
