Mobile food facilities ordinance introduced by Waguespack and Daley

A new ordinance authorizing the operation of Mobile Food Facilities (MFFs) was introduced to Chicago City Council yesterday, July 28, by Aldermen Scott Waguespack, 32nd Ward, and Vi Daley, 43rd Ward.

A creative approach to increase economic opportunities, these facilities are already part of a mobile food experience in many other cities such as Los Angeles, New York, Portland and Austin.

Police Alert: Person of interest wanted regarding homicide of police officer

Police Officer Michael Bailey was at his residence washing his vehicle on Sun., July 18 in the 7400 block of South Evans, at approximately 6:00 a.m. An unknown person approached him and shot him with a handgun. Police Officer Bailey later died of his wounds.
